Langee processes content only when it's needed for a feature you use — a click, a selection, a card. Nothing is sold, nothing feeds advertising.

Langee helps you learn languages from webpages and supported video services. The extension processes page or subtitle content only when it is needed for a feature you invoke.
Langee is operated by GeekSight Inc. (Delaware, USA), the data controller for the processing described here. Contact: hello@langee.app.
Langee does not sell personal data and never uses page content for advertising.
What we collect
- Account and authentication information — email address, name, login method, and session records including the IP address and browser identifier of each sign-in.
- Your learning data — language preferences, saved words, phrases and sentences with their translations, the context sentence each one came from and its source (title, URL, platform, position), optional captured stills, learning progress and pronunciation scores.
- Content you explicitly send to a feature — selected text, a bounded subtitle excerpt, your microphone recording for pronunciation scoring, or the video's soundtrack when you request AI subtitles. Pronunciation recordings are scored and then discarded; the audio itself is never stored.
- Privacy-safe reliability events containing only allowlisted feature, outcome, error-category, platform and build-version values.
Reliability telemetry does not contain visited URLs, browsing history, page or subtitle text, email addresses, screenshots, images, audio or raw user identifiers.
AI processing
AI features run only on content you explicitly submit — a clicked word, a selected phrase, a recorded pronunciation attempt. Depending on the feature, that content may be processed by Cloudflare, Microsoft, Google, OpenAI, Groq, Cerebras or Alibaba Cloud. AI Gateway payload logging is disabled.
Service providers
The providers below support specific Langee features. Your account, learning data and stored files are hosted in the European Union. No provider receives your streaming-service credentials from Langee.

Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete, export and restrict the personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. Most of this you can do yourself: saved items and your account are deletable directly in the extension's Settings. Your data is kept until you delete the item or your account — deletion removes your records and stored files.
For anything else — including a data export or a question about this policy — email hello@langee.app and we'll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Langee is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Security and support
Production traffic uses HTTPS and privileged service calls require separate credentials. Please do not send passwords, session cookies, API keys, private audio or sensitive page content in a support request.
We may update this policy as the product evolves; the effective date above changes when we do, and material changes are flagged in the product.
